The Silette L camera was manufactured by the Agfa Camera-Werk company of Munich Germany from approximately 1956 to 1968. The original siltte camera was first introduced in 1953. This version also had several variations over the production life. This version is distinguishable by introduction of a uncoupled selenium exposure meter located on the top cover. Found with and without twin finder windows. This camera was sold with various lens - shutter combinations including a featured an Agfa Color-Apotar, Apotar, Radionar and Color-Solinar and shutter options were a Pronto, Prontor-S, Prontor-SVS or a Compur-Rapid. Features mentioned include a rapid lever wind coupled with film transport, shutter loading, double exposure prevention and film counter.
