The Hopalong Cassidy Box camera was manufactured by Galter Products Co. of Chicago, Illinios in circa 1950. The camera was constructed of bakelite plastic with a fix focus lens and simple snap shot shutter providing time and instantaneous exposure. It was described in advertisements as " A perfect camera for youngsters". The camera was capable of capturing eight 2 1/14 x 3 1/4 inch exposures on standard no. 120 roll film. It featured a single large brilliant finder. Individually packaged in colorful display carton. It retailed for $4.98 which included tax.
A flash version was also available with striking Hopalong Cassidy graphic on the reflector. This synchronized flash model retailed for $5.98 which included tax.
