The Spartus Press Flash camera was manufactured by the Galter Products Company of Chicago Illinois, in circa 1940s. It was constructed of black bake-lite (plastic) with an unique art deco style. Advertised as the only camera with a built-in reflector, that is electrically operated from flashlight batteries for perfect pictures under any lighting conditions. It was capable of capturing eight 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch sized exposures on number 120 roll film. It was fitted with a fixed focus lens and the shutter had two shutter positions, the first for regular photos and the other for light exposure using the flash. Sold with four, either Wabash or Sylvania, flash bulbs. Priced in the range of $12.95 to $14.95.
This camera was sold under various names including Falcon Press Flash, Spartus Press Flash by Spartus and sold through the Spencer Company.
