The Spartus Box Camera was manufactured by Galter Products company in circa 1940s. Designed as a simple and inexpensive box camera constructed of bake-lite with an art deco styled chrome decorated front. Exactly the same as the Spartus camera marketed by the Sparus corp. This camera was capable of capturing eight full size 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch pictures on No. 120 size film, as the name implies. A lager size was also made for 616 toll film. It featured two view finders for vertical and horizontal pictures, an optically ground and polished fixed focus lens, and a simple time and single action instantaneous shutter. Priced at $3.97.
