The Candex miniature streamlined camera was sold by the Craftsman Sales Company of Chicago Illinois, in circa 1940. This was a typical Chicago Group Style camera and similar to the Candex, Clix DeLuxe, and the Capital 127, etc.. It was a simple minicam type camera constructed of black Bakelite with a built-in direct view finder. The body featured a sleek streamlined art deco styling. It also housed a decorative faceplate. It was fitted with a simple fixed focus Maestar 50mm lens and instantaneous and time shutter. This camera captured 3 x 4 cm sized exposures on number 127 roll film.
