The Minix candid camera was marketed by the Stan-Test Corporation of Chicago Illinois in circa 1940. The camera was constructed of black plastic Bakelite with a a built-in eye-level view finder and a decorative metal face plate. It featured a fixed focus meniscus 50mm Stan-Test lens. The shutter provided snap shot and time exposures. It was capable of producing sixteen photos on no. 127 or A8 roll film. This camera design was part of the Chicago Common style of cameras. The exact same camera was sold by The camera Man labeled as the President and Champion. In addition the same camera was sold as the Drexel Jr. Miniature, and the Leecrest by Lee Industries.
