  Aeronautical Camera Model C

The Aeronautical Camera Model C was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard company in circa 1926. The Thornton-Pickard company were pioneers in Aeronautical camera design and construction. The Model C was constructed of wood with brass hardware. It was fitted with a top mounted magazine plate changer capable of hold eighteen plates housed in metal sheaths. After it was exposed the plate would be transferred to anther magazine exactly similar to the one on the top of the camera by the slide operated by the handle on the side of the camera. The plate changing action automatically resets the shutter for the next exposure.
