The Ruby Roll Film No. 1 Camera was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard company in circa 1926. This camera was capable of capturing exposures 3 1/4 inch by 2 1/4 inch. It was constructed entirely of metal and covered in leather with black enameled hardware. It featured automatic spring stretcher arms, a reversible brilliant finder, a register plate and ruby sighting window on the back. It was fitted with a single achromatic or a Rapid rectilinear mounted in an Everset instantaneous shutter providing exposure speeds of 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100th of a second. It was also able to be fitted with a Ruby Anastigmat f7.7 or a Ruby Anastigmat f6.3 lens mounted in a shutter providing time, bulb, and instantaneous exposures of 1/5, 1/10, 1/25/ 1/50 and 1/100 of a second.
