The Ruby Stereo camera was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard company in circa 1898. It was a regular Ruby camera made in either the half-plate or 7 1/2 x 5 inch sizes. The half-plate took a pair of lenses 1 1/2 inches in diameter at three inch cneters, and the 7 1/2 x 5 inch camera took larger lenses at wider centers. It came with a detachable stereoscopic division. A T-P stereoscopic shutter was was permanently mounted behind the lens. The pair of lenses were mounted on a removable panel that fits into the front of the shutter so that a single lens mounted on a separate panel can be interchanged.
