The Model C was a top of the line, full featured street camera capable of making black and white images by the dry plate method or directly onto photo post cards with the plateless method. One camera for two separate and distinct processes. The plateless method could be performed on various card sizes including 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 inch, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch, 3 x 4 1/2 inch, 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch and on 1 inch photo buttons. The dry plate method accommodated 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch postcard sized plates. The B-W revolving tank attachment was available separately and could be used on the Universal model C. The Universal Model C was fitted with a fixed focus F6.3 lens mounted in a Gammax No. 2 instantaneous shutter with a iris diaphragm and a wire push cord release. The camera box was made of selected basswood covered with durable black seal grain Keratol. It included a leather bellows, nickel plated rack and pinion focusing adjustment, a large folding brilliant direct view finder, one tripod socket, a revolving plate and card holder, a long and roomy sleeve, a 6 to 100 feet focusing scale, a solid leather carrying handle and the hardware was made from brass with heavy nickel plating.
