The Radial camera was manufactured by the Marion & Co. of London, in circa 1890. The camera was capable of holding twenty-four cut films in sheaths or twelve glass plates without sheaths or backing. The plates rested in the back of the camera in grooves, and by a simple movement they are brought to a turn table which shifts it to the proper position in front of the lens. The camera was made in five sizes inclluding 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch lantern, quarter plate, 5 x 4 inch, 9 x 12 inch, and half plate size. It was fitted with a doublet f8 lens with rotating diaphragms and a guillotine shutter time and instantaneous shutter. Two view finders and a focusing scale is also provided. Prices ranged from £5 15s to £12.
