The Ransom stereoscopic camera was sold by the Marion & Co. of London, in circa 1890. Designed to make Stereoscopic and lantern-slide negatives and also to be a stereo viewer. By reversing the focusing glass it is converted to a stereo viewer, with the focusing glass serving as a diffusing medium for viewing transparencies, or if a paper stereoscopic image is used, then the frame on top of the back can be adjusted so as to reflect the light down on the picture as in an ordinary stereoscope. Constructed of mahogany wood with leather bellows.
