The Cut Film Swallow camera was manufactured by the Marion & Co. of Soho Square London in circa 1899. A few variations of the camera were made. The Cut-Film Swallow camera was constructed of a wood body with black leather covering. It was fitted with a single achromatic lens with three iris diaphragm and an instantaneous shutter that has an adjustment for time exposures. The outside dimensions measured 8 1/4 x 6 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches and it weighed 4 pounds. It featured two view finders, an automatic exposure indicator, and had a handle on top of the camera. It was capable of holding thirty quarter pates sized cut-films in sheaths.
