The Makina I was manufactured by the Plaubel company of of Frankfurt Germany in circa 1920. This was the second version of the Makina model. It was very similar to the original except that it featured a larger 6.5 x 9 cm exposure size. It was fitted with a Compur dial-set leaf shutter which provided speeds up to to 1/200 of a second. The lens was an interchangeable Plaubel Anticomar 10cm f/3.2 or f/2.9. The view finder was located on the side and later versions included a larger eyepice with a blue-toned glass. In 1930 a later version of the Makina I was introduced that moved the diaphragm selector to the center around the lens .
