The Soho Altrex was manufactured by the Soho Ltd. company in circa 1932. A folding roll-film camera capable of capturing eight 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch sized images. It was constructed of durable metal covered with real leather. The film spool chambers were attached to the camera and could not be dropped, the back was fitted with a spring plate to ensure the film is held in register. Multiple lens choices were available made by Kershaw. Other features included a focusing scale, a reversible view finder. It was fitted with a shutter capable of providing 1/25, 1/50or 1/100, and time with either a Single Achromatic or Kershaw Annar f8 lens. An upgraded option consisted of a shutter capable of providing 1/5, 1/10, 1/25, 1/50or 1/100 with a Kershaw Anastigmat. The camera measured 6 3/4 x 2 7/8 x 1 1/4 inch. The Soho Altrex was priced at £2 2s 0d to £3 0s 0d.
