The Soho Press Camera was manufactured in circa 1931 by the Kershaw Mfg. company and sold through the Soho Ltd. company of London, England. The Press camera was a high quality camera professional for photographing objects in rapid motion. The camera body was manufactured out of seasoned mahogany withe the corners strengthened with metal and covered in fine grain morocco leather. The front was made of ebonised mahogany, the bellows made of leather and the struts nickel plated. It featured a fast focal plane shutter providing time, bulb and instantaneous speeds ranging from 1/16 to 1/800 of a second. The front easily pulled out with the aid of metal grips and locked into infinity position. It was fitted with a Soho Anastigmat f4.5 lens. Prices for the Soho Press Camera was £18 for the 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 or 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch sizes and £25 for the 4 x 5 inch size.
