The Al-Vista Model 7E was manufactured by the Multiscope & Film Co. of Burlington Wisconsin from approximately 1900 to 1908. This panoramic camera was especially designed for illustrative and commercial photography, and its convenience in size made it ideal for travel.This camera provided extreme angle and depth of focus. This camera accepted 7-inch daylight loading film which would normally take twelve exposures per roll as the length was 63 inches, however for panoramic the camera would take three exposures 7 x 21 inches. Half sized exposures were also possible or 7 x 10.5 inches could also be taken. It was fitted with a specially ground Appoplanat f8 lens. The camera featured a brilliant revolving view-finder, a film indicator showing when enough film is wound into position, a universal tripod socket, heavy nickel plated metal parts, covered in seal grain cow hide. The Al-Vista Model 7E was originally priced at $100.00.
A Special Model 7E "Al-Vista" camera was also available that was the same camera, except it was fitted with a Burlington Anastigmat f6.8 lens. This model sold for $160.00.
