The Kandor Jr. candid type camera was manufactured by the Irwin Corporation in circa 1939. Like the other Irwin cameras the Jr. resembled a horizontal "sardine can" however it had the ends bent back in a more streamline design. It was made of metal and covered in imitation leather. It was fitted with a fixed focus 50mm Mencius Eyvar lens and a simple rotary time and instantaneous shutter. The camera was capable of capturing 3 x 4 cm exposures on standard no. 127 roll film.
