The Kandor Komet camera was manufactured by the Irwin Corporation in circa 1939. Like the other Irwin cameras the Kondor Komet resembled a horizontal "sardine can" made of metal with chrome finish on the exposed parts with the body covered in imitation leather. It was fitted with a fixed focus Mencius lens and a simple rotary time and instantaneous shutter. The camera was capable of capturing 3 x 4 cm exposures on standard no. 127 roll film.
