  Mycro Subminiature Camera ( Orginal )

The Mycro subminiature camera was manufactured by Akita Seisakusho beginning in 1939 and distributed by various companies until 1945, at which time Sanwa Co. Ltd. became the exclusive distributor. The original Mycro camera was the first of the line and one of the first subminiature of the "HIT type" to use 14 x 14mm film. It evolved with a few minor variations. The camera was constructed of pressed metal, partially covered with imitation leather. It was capable of capturing ten exposures on the unperforated 17.5mm film. The original featured a square view finder attached to the middle of the the top plate. The lens is a fixed-focus 20mm f/4.5, and the aperture is set from 4.5 to 11. The shutter was capable of speeds from 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 per second, including bulb as selected by an level at the top. The Mycro subminiature camera set the standard for Hit type subminiature cameras to follow.
