The Mycro IIIA subminiature camera was manufactured by Akita Seisakusho an distributed by the Sanwa Co. Ltd. in circa 1950. The Mycro IIIA was the latest version made with minor variations to the Stand Mycro. The "HIT type" Mycro IIIA subminiature camera took ten 14 x 14mm exposures (9/16 x 9/16 inch) on 17.5mm unperforated roll film.
The camera was constructed of pressed metal covered with leather, similar to earlier versions, but with a modified view finder housing. The lens is a Mycro Una fixed-focus 20mm f/4.5, and the aperture is set from 4.5 to 11. The Una shutter was capable of speeds from 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 per second, including bulb as selected by an level at the top. The Mycro subminiature camera set the standard for Hit type subminiature cameras to follow. This later version has both the lens faceplate labeled with Sanwa Co. Ltd and Mycro Camera Company.
