The Hanover Hand or Stand Camera was manufactured by Evans, Sons and Company of Liverpool, England in circa 1899. The camera was completely constructed in mahogany and covered with the best morocco leather. It was fitted with an iris rapid rectilinear lens working at F8 and a roller-blind shutter providing exposures speeds up to 1/90 part of a second. It featured a rising front, rear focusing screen, hoods for teh view finders to shade from the sun and a long extension. It was capable of carrying three double dark slides. The camera complete in quarter plate size retailed for £4 4s.
