The Meteor Camera was manufactured by Optische Anstalt E. Suter of Basel, Switzerland in circa 1903. This precision crafted stereo box camera was made entirely of metal and covered with fine leather. The front standard provided rising adjustment. It was fitted with a matched pair of compur shutters that provided exposure speeds up to 1/150 second for capturing 6 x 13 cm exposures. It featured a large fold-down review viewfinder of the dragonfly type, a setting for near-distances, a tripod mount. The camera would accept plates or film-cassette or magazine without a special adapter. The Meteor Camera measured 16.5 x 10 x 7.5 cm and weighed 900 grams.
