Suter Stereo Muro Camera

The Stereo Muro Camera was manufactured by Optische Anstalt E. Suter of Basel, Switzerland in circa 1905. Designed as a compact Stereo that could be folded and carried in a pocket. The case is made of metal, covered with leather. Extending the bellows sets the cameras focus to infinity. Focus adjustment could be made by means of a worm gear adjustment. The bellows were made of leather. the camera featured a focal plane shutter for snapshot speeds up to 1/1000 second. For time exposures, a clip-on lens cap was provided. This camera came with three 6 x 13 cm metal slides for plates or it could be used with film packs. The camera measured 16 x 10 x 4cm when closed and weighed 700 grams.
