  Videon Stereo Camera

The Videon Stereo camera was manufactured by Stereocrafters Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin beginning in 1950. This camera met a growing need for an inexpensive stereo camera for the amateur market. The Videon Stereo camera produced sixteen stereo exposures on standard twenty exposure 35mm roll film. It was constructed of plastic and metal. It featured a matched set Ilex "Stereon" anastigmat 35mm lenses working at maximum adjustable aperture of f3.5, with lens separation at 69.5mm. Additionally, the camera was fitted with a matched pair of Ilex shutters providing speeds from 1/10 to 1/100 second, including bulb and time exposures. There is built-in flash synchronization, eye-level type viewfinder, and tripod socket. The camera measures 177 mm x 78 mm x 62 mm (W x H x D) and was originally priced just under one hundred dollars at $97.48.
