The Pixie camera or also referred to as the Micro 16 Pixie was marketed by the William R. Whittaker Co. Ltd of Los Angeles, California from approximately 1947 to 1951. The camera was made of black plastic with a built-in view finder. The camera came with a strap to attach it to a wrist so that it can be carried like a watch. It was fitted with a fixed focus lens, a rotary shutter and exposure counter. The camera accepted 16mm cassette magazine film proving 14 exposures. Purchase of the film for $1.29 included film processing and prints sized at 2 1/2 x 3 1/4 inches. The camera was originally priced at $4.95.
