The Pixie Deluxe camera was produced by the William R. Whittaker Co. Ltd of Los Angeles, California in circa 1951. The camera was the same as the Pixie but the body was made of a gold tone Mahogany polystrene or brown plastic with a built-in view finder. More dramatic was that all the exposed metal parts were plated with genuine 14 karat gold. The camera individually wrapped in ivory and transparent plastic and was marketed as a gift or presentation item. The camera was originally priced at $7.50. The Custom camera was similar but it was marked with gold lettering "Custom Pixie".
