The Pho-tak Reflex I Camera camera was manufactured by the Pho-tak Corporation in circa 1953. Described as always ready for action. It was constructed of all metal with artificial leather covering and satin metal trim. The camera took twelve, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch exposures on standard no. 620 color or black and white roll film. It was fitted with a fixed focus meniscus lens and a Pho-tak bulb and snap shot shutter working at 1/50th of a second speed. It also featured double exposure prevention, built-in flash capability and metal folding hood. The optional flash unit had a 4 1/2 inch reflector and built-in tester and bulb ejection. The Pho-tak Reflex I camera measures 3 x 3 1/2 x 4 3/8 inches when closed and weighed 1 pound. It was originally priced at $15.95.
