The Ansco Automatic Reflex/35 was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1949. Designed as a high quality camera with unique automatic features. It was an improvement over the Ansco Reflex 35. The body was constructed of a metal with black pin seal leather covering and the exposed metal parts were finished in satin chrome. It was fitted with a fast f3.5 Wollensak Velostigmat, coated and color corrected lens with an 83mm focal length. Focuses from 3 feet 8 inches to infinity. An f3.5 matched viewing lens is directly coupled with the taking lens. the lens was mounted in an Ansco shutter with speeds from 1 to 1/400 of a second, plus bulb. It was capable of capturing twelve black-and-white exposures or nine color exposures 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch square on standard No. 120 roll film. Other features included Synchronized flash, Film transport lever advances film and stops automatically when the next frame is reached, double exposure prevention, sping loading viewing hood, built-in hinged magnifier in hood for critical focusing, and all stops and distance setting readable from the top of the camera. The Ansco Reflex camera was originally priced around $287 but the price was reduced around $100 less the following years.
