The Ansco Junior was manufactured by Ansco of Binghamton, New York from 1906 to 1913. It was constructed of wood and covered in seal grain leather. The metal was nickel plated and polished. It was fitted with a fixed focus rapid rectilinear lens with diaphragms and a time, bulb release and instantaneous shutter. Features included a self locking devise for bellows extension, a spring spoon which holds the film taut in winding, a brilliant finder and a tripod socket. The camera took 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on No. 6A or 6B roll film. The camera measures 2 x 8 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and weighs 21 ounces. It was originally priced at $12.00.
