The Ansco Junior Special camera was manufactured by Ansco of Binghamton, New York from 1908 to 1913. It was constructed of wood and covered in seal grain leather. The metal was nickel plated and polished. It was fitted with a fixed focus Ansco Anastigmat f6.3 lens with an iris diaphragm providing openings from F.63 to F45. The shutter was an Ansco Automatic Shutter operated by hand lever for time, bulb and instantaneous exposures. The camera took six or twelve 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on No. 6A or 6B roll film. The Ansco Junior Special camera was originally priced at $45.00. Almost four times as much as the standard Ansco Junior.
