  Ansco Readyflash

The Ansco Readyflash 'Candid type" camera was manufactured by ANSCO of Binghamton, New York in circa 1952. It featured a built-in flash synchronization, a fixed focus meniscus lens that provided focus for all images beyond 7 feet without adjustment, instantaneous shutter and eye-level view finder. The camera took twelve 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch square exposures on black-and-white or Kodacolor no. 620 film. The Ansco Readyflash camera sold for $6.30 and the outfit which included the camera, flash attachment, film, bulbs and portrait attachment sold for $15.95.
