The Ansco Shur Shot was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1946. It was a popular and dependable box camera with simple operation. A sturdy camera with a metal faceplate and a water resistant fiber body covered in black imitation leather. It was capable of capturing eight 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch exposures on standard no. 120 roll film. The camera was fitted with a fixed focus single meniscus lens for taking photos from about 8 feet to infinity. The shutter provided snap shot speed of about 1/40 of a second. It also featured two view finders and a handle. The camera measures 3 1/4 x 4 x 5 inches and was originally priced at $3.95.
