  Ansco Super Speedex

The Ansco Super Speedex camera was manufactured by Ansco of Binghamton, New York in circa 1953. It provided a brilliant coupled rangefinder-viewfinder. Advertised as the "World's finest automatic folding roll film camera". The camera was constructed of all metal and covered in black leather. It featured a four element Agfa Solinar F3.5 lens in a Synchro-Compur shutter providing speeds up to 1/500 of a second and time. The camera took twelve 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch square exposures on either black-and-white or color film no. 120 roll film. It also featured double exposure prevention, flash synchronization, automatic film advance and an optical eye level finder. The Ansco Super Speedex camera was priced at $119.50.
