The Ansco Super Regent camera was made by Agfa in Munich, Germany for Ansco of Binghamton, New York in circa 1955 to 1960. The Super Regent featured a lens-coupled rangefinder and the new LVS shutter which automatically set the lens at the correct opening as you change from one shutter speed to another. It took standard 35mm exposures 24 x 36mm in size. It was fitted with a color corrected f3.5 Agfa Solinar 50mm anastigmat lens mounted in an accurate Synchro-Compur LVS shutter providing speeds from 1 to 1/500th of a second, including bulb, synchronized for all flash. Other features include double exposure prevention and automatic film transport. The camera sold for approximately $89.50.
