  Ansco V.P. Junior camera

The Ansco V.P. Junior camera was made by Ansco in circa 1920. The Junior series was created to provide maximum quality for minimal cost. The camera was constructed with metal and covered in fine seal-grain leather. It was fitted with an Actus shutter with either a single achromatic or rapid rectilinear lens with a 3 1/2 inch focal length. An optional combination of a Modico Anastigmat lens and an f7.5 extraspeed Bionic shutter was also available. This camera was capable of capturing exposures 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 inches on Ansco 4A film or standard No. 120 equivalent. The camera measures 1 1/4 x 2 7/8 x 6 when closed and weighs 13 ounces. It was originally priced at $12.00 for the camera with a single achromatic, $13.50 if bought with the RR and $19 with the Modico Anastigmat.
