  Ansco V.P. No. 1

The Ansco Vest Pocket No. 1 camera was made by Ansco in circa 1915. The camera was constructed with metal and covered in fine seal-grain leather. It was fitted with a fixed focus single achromatic or rapid rectilinear lens with a 3 1/2 inch focal length and an Actus shutter. This camera was capable of capturing exposures 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches on Ansco 4A or standard No. 120 roll film. The camera measures 1 1/4 x 2 7/8 x 6 when closed and weighs 12 ounces. It was originally priced at $8.00 for the camera with the achromatic lens and $9.50 for the rapid rectilinear model.
