The Ansco Vest Pocket No. 2 camera was made by Ansco in circa 1915. The camera was constructed with aluminum metal and covered in morocco leather. It was fitted with a fixed focus single achromatic or rapid rectilinear lens with a 3 1/2 inch focal length and an Actus shutter providing speeds from 1/25 to 1/100 of a second in addition to time exposure and sustained pressure releases. Later models after 1917 models were offered with the Modico anastigmat f7.5 lens or an Ansco Anastigmat f6.3 lens and extraspeed bionic shutter. The iris diaphragm ranged from 8 to 64. This camera was capable of capturing exposures 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches on Ansco 4A or standard No. 120 roll film. The camera measures 1 1/4 x 2 7/8 x 6 inches when closed and weighs 12 ounces. It was originally priced at $7.50 for the camera with the achromatic lens and $9.00 for the rapid rectilinear model.
