The Ansco Viking camera was made in Munich Germany by Agfa Camera Werks for Ansco of Binghamton, New York from approximately 1946 to 1956. It was made with two lens options, an f4.5 and an f6.3. The camera body was made of metal and covered in water resistant covering. It featured a self erecting set-up when opened. The camera took eight 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch exposures on no. 120 roll film. The lenses were hard coated and mounted in a flash synchronized shutter providing speeds up to 1/200th of a second. Early models had the view finder as shown above and later models had a redesigned streamlined view finder housing. The f4.5 was priced around $44.50 and the f6.3 at $34.95.
