the No. 1A Folding Pocket Ansco camera was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1913. It was constructed of a a round-cornered aluminum body with heavy nickeled and polished metal fittings. The camera was capable of capturing 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch negatives on Ansco No. 6A or 6B speedex film or on kodak no. 116 film. The camera was fitted with an Ansco double rapid symmetrical lens with a focal length of 4 7/8 inches and an Ansco automatic shutter. An important feature for this camera was the automatic plano reversible finder which displayed the image exactly as the captured image. The camera measured 1 7/8 x 4 x 8 1/8 when closed and weighed 20 ounces. The No. 1A Folding Pocket Ansco camera was originally priced at $17.50.
