  No. 2A Folding Buster Brown

The No. 2A Folding Buster Brown camera was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1908 to 1915. The No. 2A was the same as the No. 2 Folding Buster Brown camera except the No. 2A captured larger sized negatives. Made of well seasoned wood throughout with heavily nickel plated metal trimmings and covered in seal grain composition leather. It was fitted with a simple fixed focus meniscus lens with adjustable diaphragm settings. The lens was mounted in an Actus shutter with three speed settings including time and bulb. The camera was capable of capturing six 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on Ansco no. 6A (six exposure) and no. 6B (twelve exposure) film or equivalent Kodak no. 116 roll film. The No. 2 Folding Buster Brown camera was originally priced around $8.00.
