  No. 4 Folding Ansco


The No. 4 Folding Ansco camera was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1914. The camera was made of well seasoned mahogany wood and covered in black seal grain leather. It was fitted with a double rapid symmetrical lens and a Bionic Automatic shutter. Other features included a brillian reversible finder, an automatic spring spoon which is part of the spool-handling device, and two tripod sockets. The camera was capable of capturing six 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on Ansco no. 7A and 7B film or equivalent Kodak no. 118 roll film. The camera measures 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 8 inches and weighes 27 ounces. The No. 4 Folding Ansco camera was originally priced around $15.00.
