  No. 4 Folding Pocket Ansco

The No. 4 Folding Pocket Ansco was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1906 to 1914. This was the predecessor or name change for the No. 4 Folding Ansco. The camera was made of well seasoned mahogany wood polished and covered in black seal grain leather. The bellows are either maroon or black leather. The metal parts are heavily nickel plated and polished. It was fitted with a double rapid symmetrical lens with a 5 inch focal length and a Cyko Automatic time and instantaneous shutter with three speeds. Other features included a brillian reversible finder, an automatic spring spoon which is part of the spool-handling device, and two tripod sockets. The camera was capable of capturing six 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on Ansco no. 7A and 7B film or equivalent Kodak no. 118 roll film. The camera measures 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 8 inches and weighes 27 ounces. The No. 4 Folding Pocket Ansco camera was originally priced around $14.50.
