The Omega 120 camera was designed and manufactured by Simmon Brothers Inc. of Long Island City, New York in circa 1954. The camera was constructed as a on-piece solid magnesium body finished in a black crackle covering. It took nine 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 inch exposures on standard no. 120 roll film. the size corresponded proportionately to an 8x10 or 16x20 enlarging paper. It was fitted with a special 4-element 90mm Omnicron anastigmat f6.3 lens made by the Wollensack Optical company. The shutter was a Rapax trigger-action shutter providing nine speeds from 1 to 1/400th part of a second, plus bulb. Other features included synchronized flash, over-sized view finder automatically corrects parallax, over sized and conveniently located controls, auto-film transport advances film and cocks shutter, 1 1/2 magnification of rangefinder and double exposure prevention.
