The Patent Camera was designed and sold by W. I. Chadwick of Manchester, England in circa 1885. It was a high quality tailboard style camera, probably manufactured by Billcliff. The camera was constructed of mahogany with lacquered brass metal work. It was capable of taking stereo images or single plate images with an interchangeable lens board and removable center plenum.
