  Bijou Camera

The Bijou camera was manufactured by Kern & Company AG in circa 1924. The camera was made of solid aluminum body with rounded corners and polished. Leather inserts were fitted on the sides. It was capable of capturing 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch exposures. The camera was It was fitted with a Kern Anastigmat f4.5 lens with a 4.25cm focus mounted in an Acme or Compur shutter providing speeds from 1 to 1/200th of a second. Features included a revolving back with a specially designed plate holder, two view finders in addition to a direct view wire frame viewer, rising and falling front, spirit level and tripod socket. The Bijou camera was priced around £12 17s 6d.
