The Le Bayard Hand Camera was manufactured by E. Mazo of Paris, France in circa 1905. It was constructed of wood and covered in leather. It was capable of storing and exposing twelve 9 x 12 cm plates. The name 'Le Bayard' is embossed on the front leather under the lens. It was fitted with a either an extra rapid Orthoscope, an Anastigmat series 1 or a Zeiss Anastigmat lens, diaphragms and adjustable shutter. The price of the camera ranged from 160 to 240 francs based on lens selection.
