  Stereo Poco by Rochester Camera Mfg. Co.


The Rochester Camera Manufacturing Company produced the Stereo Poco from approximately 1898 to 1903. Designed to meet the growing interest in stereo photography. The camera is constructed similar to the Cycle Poco No. 2. Constructed of a solid mahogany box dovetailed and highly polished. Covered with the best seal grain leather with an accompanying leather handle, polished and lacquered brass metal hardware, and a red Russian leather bellows lined with gossamer cloth. The detachable back featured a spring actuated ground glass screen with a panel for focusing. The front featured a rising and falling adjustment with a detachable lens board and rack and single rack and pinion focusing. Two tripod sockets were provided along with a combination Poco view finder and level. The lens was a rapid rectilinear with a unique Stereo Shutter with pneumatic release designed for this camera.
