The Contaflex III was manufactured by Zeiss Ikon AG of Dresden, Germany in 1957 to 1959. This 35mm single lens reflex camera featured a removable front element of the lens which could be replaced by supplementary lenses. The camera was constructed of a metal body covered in leather with a satin chrome trim.It was the similar to the Contaflex I in that it did not feature an exposure meter. It was fitted with a Zeiss Tessar f2.8 50mm lens with helical focusing.
