The Contaflex S was manufactured by Zeiss Ikon AG of Dresden, Germany from 1970 to 1972. It was a 35mm single lens reflex camera featuring a automatic shutter and automatic exposure control. It was the same camera as the Contaflex Super BC. It was constructed of metal covered in leather. The camera was made in two versions one with chrome metal trim and the other black finished metal trim. It accepted a variety of supplementary lens with stops form f2.8 to f22. The shutter was a synchro-compur shutter providing speeds up to 1/500th part of a second. This camera carried Zeiss number 10.1273-BL.
